Teach for Pakistan Teaching Fellowship 2025

Teach for Pakistan is calling university graduates and young professionals to join its 2025 Fellowship program, a life-changing opportunity to teach in low-income schools and empower students. Two years of full-time teaching that provides an opportunity to young fellows to work in public schools. Make a real difference in the lives of children from underserved communities applying ‘’Teach for Pakistan 2025’’. 

Teach for Pakistan Fellows will be placed in government schools on Islamabad’s outskirts, serving low-income communities. These partner schools face challenges like poor infrastructure, staffing issues, and large class sizes, but they’re eager to improve their students’ learning experiences. 

The Fellows will take on grades at both the primary and secondary levels, shaping crucial skills and attitudes during these formative years. They’ll be teaching a core curriculum of English, Urdu, Science, Math, and Social Studies, and fluency in both English and Urdu is essential to best support their students.

 

To foster collaboration and mutual support, 2-3 Fellows will be placed in each school, learning and implementing initiatives together. With dedication and teamwork, these Fellows have the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of these students and their communities.

2025 Cohort  

This year, Teach for Pakistan will place the fellows in Karachi and Islamabad. At the time of application, the applicant can choose the preferred placement  location. Locations are;

Islamabad Cohort will be placed in the following rural sectors:

  • Nilore
  • Tarnol
  • Sihala
  • Bhara Kahu

Karachi Cohort can expect to be placed in the following districts:

  • Karachi South
  • Karachi Central
  • Karachi East
  • Korangi

Teach for Pakistan Fellowship program

Here’s what you need to know about fellowship Program

  • Intensive training: Prepare for success with a six-week pre-placement program covering teaching skills, leadership, and community engagement.
  • Ongoing support: Get monthly lesson observations, one-on-one coaching, and day-long training sessions to keep you growing.

Eligibility Criteria for teach for Pakistan 

Teach for Pakistan is open to all academic and professional backgrounds!

Minimum requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, completed by June 2025
  • Pakistani citizenship or a valid National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) or Pakistan Origin Card (POC)
  • Fluency in English and Urdu
  • Successful completion of the pre-placement Training Institute in July and August 2025
  • Two-year commitment to the Fellowship with placement in Islamabad or Karachi
  • No age Limit
